Family Fun Night

The kids were beyond excited when I gave them the news about Disney on Ice coming to town. It’s the perfect reason to create new outfits or let them wear those costumes again away from Halloween season.

It was as fun as they thought and so much more. Everything was perfect from the stages props, to the costumes, the dance and how about those extra bonus effects.

I was ready with a few new fabrics to create a Frozen inpired outfit. All of a sudden it dawned on me that girls don’t want to wear a winter outfit for these events. What was I thinking. Girls enjoy wearing their princess dresses so much more.

It didn’t take much convincing to change my daughter’s mind, but it did take me a second to decided whether I wanted to create a replica for her doll with a 2 hour time frame.

Less thinking and more doing as they say.  It was a Cinderella story for her doll. I got scraps from my stash and created what I could. Thank goodness for all those times of watching project runway… I kept my cool and made it work. Gotta love Tim Gunn.

We made it in the nick of time and Cinderella made it to the ball.  This night was a magical one.  Have you gone to see Disney on Ice? Now’s  your chance don’t pass it up. Remember to enter code KIDS at checkout for 20%off your tickets.
